Medical cotton rolls must be made of 100% defatted cotton fibers, and impurities such as fat and wax in the cotton fibers are removed through professional defatting processes. On the one hand, the defatted cotton fibers are more delicate and soft, which can minimize irritation when in contact with the patient's skin (especially damaged skin and mucous membranes), avoiding redness, swelling, and allergic reactions caused by residual impurities. It is particularly suitable for the care of long-term bedridden patients, infants, and sensitive skin populations; On the other hand, the porous structure of defatted cotton fibers is more developed, with a water and liquid absorption capacity that is more than 30% higher than that of ordinary cotton rolls. It can quickly adsorb blood, medicine, secretions, etc., and is less prone to shedding fibers after adsorption, avoiding secondary damage to the wound or operating site caused by fiber residue.
