Usage
1. Assembly equipment
Insert one end of the connecting tube into the air outlet of the nebulizer, and securely connect the other end to the interface of the medicine cup (ensure no looseness to prevent air leakage).
If using a mask, securely connect the mask interface to the outlet of the medication cup. If a bite valve is preferred, simply replace the mask (personal comfort should be considered, with masks being the primary option for children and individuals who cannot use a bite valve).
2. Startup and Adjustment
Turn on the nebulizer power supply, open the switch, and observe whether uniform mist droplets are generated in the medication cup (compressor nebulizers produce finer mist droplets, suitable for deep lung delivery; ultrasonic nebulizers generate larger mist volumes, ideal for airway humidification).
Adjust the mist output: Start at the lowest setting for initial use and gradually increase based on personal tolerance (avoid high mist output for children, the elderly, or those with weak respiratory function to prevent choking).
3. Proper Fitting and Breathing Coordination
Wearing the mask: Cover the mouth and nose with the mask, adjust the head strap to ensure a snug fit without gaps (too tight may compress the skin, while too loose may cause fog leakage); ensure the edges of the mask fit tightly against the cheeks and chin with no gaps.
Proper Breathing Technique: Inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth. During inhalation, take deep breaths (allowing the mist droplets to reach deep into the lungs). After inhalation, briefly hold your breath for 1-2 seconds (to prolong the medication's stay in the lungs and enhance effectiveness). During exhalation, breathe slowly and evenly to avoid rapid exhalation, which may waste the mist droplets.
Precautions: Maintain a seated or semi-recumbent position during nebulization (avoid lying flat to prevent medication backflow, which may cause choking or suffocation). If symptoms such as coughing, chest tightness, or palpitations occur, immediately discontinue use, remove the mask, and take deep breaths. Resume the treatment only after symptoms subside. If discomfort persists, seek medical attention promptly.
Duration Control: The single nebulization session typically lasts 10-15 minutes until the medication in the cup is nearly depleted (a small remaining amount is normal and does not require forced completion).
